What is an Authorized Person?
An Authorized Person (AP) is registered with the stock exchanges (NSE/BSE) and appointed by a SEBI-registered stock broker — here, Angel One Limited — to help investors open accounts and access the broker’s services. Charchit Info Services is a registered AP (NSE AP0397638803, BSE AP01061201177720).
Is opening an account through you safe?
Your account is opened directly in your name with Angel One Limited (SEBI Reg. INZ000161534). Your money and securities always stay with Angel One and the depository (CDSL) — never with us — so they are held by SEBI-regulated institutions, not by an intermediary. As an Authorized Person, we only help you onboard and provide ongoing support.
What does it cost to open an account?
Account opening is free. Brokerage and statutory charges apply per Angel One’s tariff and will not exceed SEBI-prescribed limits. Statutory levies and taxes are charged as prescribed by the regulators.
What documents do I need?
PAN card, Aadhaar (linked to your mobile for OTP e-KYC), a bank account (cancelled cheque or statement), plus a photograph and signature. The process is fully paperless.
How long does it take?
With Aadhaar-based e-KYC, accounts are typically activated within a day, subject to verification.
Who holds my money and shares?
Angel One Limited holds your trading funds and the depository (CDSL, DP ID IN-DP-384-2018) holds your shares in your Demat account. We never take custody of your money or securities.
